The Devo:

My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of your love. Psalms 42:7

In Aug 2025, I was a bit scattered.  I was struggling with my quiet time & meditation. As I was sitting in my trailer at camp “I heard the Holy Spirit say just shut your eyes & be quiet in my love.”

As I did this He then directed me to "picture a door, then just walk through it. Just come through the door.” So I closed my eyes, saw a door, walked though the door and there was Jesus!

He took my hand and we began to walk together. In seconds we were in the driveway at a  farm house on the arner townline.  So many times I had driven by there and in my heart I desired to stop and visit the horses but never stopped or ventured to go and ask if that would be possible.

But I knew in this moment Jesus and I were at that farm, in this vision. It was in this beautiful moment with Him, I began to weep with Joy, I was elated that He would take me there, even if just in the vision.

We walked through the gate, up to the doors and I knocked, a person came out. I didn’t see their face but I knew they were in front of us. I began to share with this person that I would like to know if they would give us permission to go back to the field and just visit their horses. Just to stand at the fence and watch them.

I had a confidence that I could ask this, with Jesus by my side. They of course said yes. So Jesus and I went out to the yard and we just sat there together and watched these beautiful creatures. These moments were so restful and no words were needed, we were together with these horses.

So when I opened my eyes, no longer in the vision, I began to weep with such joy and gratitude. 

Jesus wanted me to know that He knew the desires of my heart.

This was why He came to me in this vision. I was overewelmed to think He wanted to have this sweet fellowship with me. 

This is my Jesus and He is yours too. If you have been struggling to connect with him, just call out to him, as Psm 42:7 says, "My deep need calls out to him. He came to me with his deep kindness and showed me His love." He will do the same for you. 

 In my days of struggle and even in joy my God knows my deep desires and knows exactly what I need all the time and provides.

Let me leave you with psalm 42:11 (tpt) "I know my God will will break though for me..."

I get to say to my soul as a decision made ahead of time, "He is always good and knows me well, living before His face is my saving grace."

Action: Take time to sit with him. Call out to him with your deep need and then allow Him to come to you with His deep kindness.
